WWE SmackDown has climbed past the two million viewers mark since its return to Fox on November 4, 2022.
The October 28 edition of the show saw the average figure drop by more than half, due to the fact that it aired on Fox’s sister channel FS1.
According to Brandon Thurston of WrestlenomicsSmackDown received an overall rating of 2,138,000 viewers, and 0.48 in the major 18–49 demographic.
The episode ranked number three in the major demographic between broadcast primetime and cable originals.
Last week’s episode of SmackDown garnered a surprisingly low 835,000 viewers and 0.23 in the key demographic, although this is likely because the show was moved to Fox’s sister channel FS1 for the evening due to the game.
The November 4 edition of SmackDown was the go-home show for WWE Crown Jewel 2022. It was pre-taped along with last week’s episode.
The episode’s main event was a singles match for the Intercontinental Championship between Gunther and Rey Mysterio, with Gunther retaining the belt.
Next week’s episode will mark the show’s return to live programming on Fox for the first time in three weeks.
The show will mark the start of the SmackDown World Cup, where the winner will face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.
