Wardlow hopes to return to AEW’s ‘Day One vibe’

AEW TNT Champion Wardlow shares his thoughts on the future of AEW after the recent backstage drama.

Former AEW World Champion and EVPs Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks are all currently suspended following a backstage fight following CM Punk’s rant during the All Out Media scandal.

speak with dynamite downloadWardlow said he believes promotion is back on track after the recent show.

Wanting ‘day one stretch’ to return, Wardlow said:

“It’s more important now than ever. It was already necessary for me to turn it on, but where we are at AEW’s current position, it’s even more important than that to fuck it up.

“That’s it. It’s time for everyone to pursue it. Everyone who’s talking about not having an opportunity, here’s your opportunity. Everyone here has a chance to pursue it. It’s that day.” A vibe when it’s time to get back.

“When it started, we were a family and we survived COVID like a family. We saw each other more than we saw our families. We’re definitely coming back, literally last week, it really felt like that strong bond again. We’re on the right track now, that’s great”

On the July 6 edition of Dynamite, Wardlow won the TNT Championship from Scorpio Sky. He has defended his gold on four occasions, most recently against Tony Ness in the September 7 episode.
