A report has surfaced that a top WWE star worked his match at the WWE Crown Jewel event today (November 5) while he was ill.

WWE Crown Jewel 2022 took off from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of a series of premium live events organized to support WWE’s 10-year partnership with the nation in support of Saudi Vision 2030.

report, from pwinsideralleged that two-time WWE Champion Drew McIntyre had been extremely ill with the flu for the past several days, but was determined to attend his steel cage match against Carrion Cross despite his health problems.

McIntyre won the match by escaping the steel cage in a photo finish seconds before going through the door of his opponent’s cage, which his manager and wife Scarlett had opened for him.

According to the report, McIntyre was said to be adamant that no matter what, he would work his way into the ring and was able to do so today.

McIntyre has been praised in recent months for his commandability for WWE, claiming he will “swing down swing” for the company amid rumors of potential injuries.
