According to the developers, it will take a long time for the game to be brewed to perfection for a worthy remake of the original hit entry. CD Projekt Red has asked gamers to be patient until more details about the project can be revealed, as the title is in a very skeletal stage and may require years of hefty development.
The official webpage for The Witcher Remake reveals more details about the collaboration and project. Fool’s Theory is mostly made up of veteran developers who worked on the original The Witcher series, and the collaboration will prove very beneficial for the remake.
The head of CD Projekt Red, Adam Badowski, quoted:The Witcher is where it all started for us all, for CD PROJEKT RED. It was the first game we ever made, and it was a big moment for us at the time. Going back to this place and re-creating the game for the next generation of gamers to experience it feels just as big, if not bigger.”
Additionally, Adam also comments on the collaboration with Fool’s Theory, “Teaming up with Fool’s Theory on the project is just as exciting as some of the people there have been involved in The Witcher games before. They know the source material well, they know how many gamers have been looking forward to the remake and they know how to make incredible and ambitious games.”
According to Adam, the wait will be worth it and more details will be shared in the future, but not anytime soon. He continued, “And while it will be some time before we are ready to share more about the game, I know it will be worth the wait.”
