Pat McAfee nominated to 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame



A WWE SmackDown star has been nominated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2023 class.

Before becoming a color commentator on SmackDown with Michael Cole, Pat McAfee spent eight seasons as the Premier Painter in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts.

on the latest version of The Pat McAfee ShowNFL alum found he was one of 129 modern-age nominees Pro Football Hall of Fame Class 2023.

In the Punters/Kickers category, McAfee with Gary Anderson (K), Jason Allum (K), Jeff Feigles (P), Jason Hanson (K), John Kasey (K), Sean Landetta (P), Shane Lechler (K) Are included. P), Ryan Longwell (K) and Matt Turk (P).

PFHOF will reduce this list to 25 in November and the final 15 will be announced in January 2023.

Only five players from the punter and kicker categories have attended the hall. McAfee would become only the second punter in the Hall of Fame when Ray Gaye was inducted.

The former Indianapolis colt retired from football in 2017 citing his third knee operation in four seasons.

Pat McAfee is currently on hiatus from his role as SmackDown commentator after taking on the role of co-host on ESPN’s College Gameday.
