MJF calls leading pro wrestling promoter 'a weird loser'

If there’s one thing you don’t want to do, it’s finding yourself in the crosshairs of Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF. The AEW star may be “Salt of the Earth” and “Sense of Sense,” but that won’t stop him from putting someone down if he thinks it’s necessary. On Friday, MJF deemed it necessary to go after William Patrick “Billy” Corgan, owner and promoter of the NWA, and head of the Smashing Pumpkins.

After Corgan tweeted what he’d be like on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” with a bizarre, seemingly House of Black style photo, MJF took Twitter To give your opinion on the matter.

“What a strange loser,” tweeted MJF.

Unfortunately for Corgan, not even MJF was done. Reply to your own tweetMJF tagged a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion with a question about Corgan.

“Matt Cardona, what is this [dude’s] Deal?” MJF asked.

At the time of this writing, Cardona has not responded to MJF’s question, while Corgan himself has not responded to MJF’s tweet. It is also unclear why MJF decided to go after Corgan, although it is always possible that the top contender for the AEW World Championship may not be a fan of Corgan.

MJF was most recently seen onscreen at the “AEW Dynamite” Grand Slam last Wednesday, where he had a feud with Wheeler Utah and at one point even knocked down announcer Tony Schiavone. He was later seen in the crowd when Jon Moxley defeated Brian Danielson to win the vacant AEW World Championship, setting the stage for MJF to challenge Moxley for a future title.
