Major WWE Star Written Off TV?

A new report has indicated that Edge was removed from TV on Monday’s September 12 edition of WWE Raw.

On the show, Edge faced Dominic Mysterio in singles action. The match ended via disqualification after interference from Judgment Day, before the faction aimed Edge’s leg with a steel chair.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Edge’s current contract with WWE is only for a limited number of dates, noting:

“The thing with Edge is, because he’s got a limited contract, so he’s not around weekly, it felt like it was another injury angle.”

Before joining Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 38 in May, Edge formed the Judgment Day group with Damien Priest at WrestleMania 38 in April. In early June, Edge introduced Finn Balor to the faction, before Balor, Priest and Ripley ousted the Rated-R Superstar.

Edge returned to WWE on July 30 at SummerSlam, targeting Damien Priest and Finn Balor.

Dominic Mysterio exclusively turned on Edge and his father, Rey Mysterio, at the September 3 Clash at the Castle premium live event.
