AEW star Kenny Omega and NJPW star Kota Ibushi have reunited during their respective wrestling hiatus.
Omega was one of the names suspended after a backstage altercation following CM Punk’s verbal acrimony following the All Out Media scandal.
The former AEW World Champion was recently spotted in Japan.
Kota Ibushi has now shared some pictures with Omega. The Golden Lovers enjoy a meal before playing some video games.
Ibushi himself has not wrestled since the final of the G1 Climax 2021 in October. The bout was specifically canceled after Ibushi suffered a severed shoulder after hitting a top rope splash.
The Japanese star and NJPW have had issues over the past year, with NJPW officially addressing a ‘serious disagreement’ between the two sides in May. Pratibha reportedly believes that Ibushi will not return to NJPW.
Omega and Ibushi wrestled exclusively at DDT Pro and NJPW as Golden Lovers, with the two last teaming up at the NJPW Road to the Tokyo Dome show in December 2018.
Another recently suspended AEW is set to return to work on Wednesday’s Dynamite taping.
