Grand Slam Dynamite makes AEW ticket sales history

Tony Khan has announced that the AEW Grand Slam has already made history and the show hasn’t even started!

To confirm on his Twitter account that the door to tonight’s (September 21) event has already passed a major milestone, Khan wrote:

“Thanks for the support from the fans, tonight is the first AEW Grand Slam in New York City @AEWonTV
The event to ever exceed $1 million in live ticket sales!

“Thank you everyone here tonight + thank you to everyone who watched the #AEWDynamite TONIGHT on Wednesday night on @TBSNetwork!

“See you soon!”

The special Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite is set to feature a stacked card including a new AEW World Champion being crowned either Jon Moxley or Brian Danielson.

Elsewhere on the cards, the AEW Tag Team Championships are in line as Swarve in Our Glory (Keith Lee and Swarve Strickland) defend The Exclaimed (Max Castor and Anthony Bowens) as well as a big interim AEW Women’s World Championship match.

The current AEW Interim Women’s World Champion, Tony Storm, tries to face three challengers including Athena, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD and Serena Dibb in tonight’s Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite.
