Dreamlight Valley Moonstone Drought Makes Players Want MTXs

Disney Dreamlight Valley Moonstone is the life game premium currency, which can only be achieved by completing in-game quests or leveling up through the Star Path battle pass. Unfortunately, players can’t buy them yet, and in turn they don’t have any of the mysterious glittering stones.

In the Disney Dreamlight Valley Update 1, there is an all-new villain-inspired battle pass for the return of Scar, the WHERE king of the Pride Lands. Unfortunately, some cosmetics are behind a paywall in the form of moon rocks, which seem to be rather scarce in the game.

“I’m so upset that I can’t collect enough Moonstone to get the premium items. I wish I could buy Moonstones, but I’ll have to miss the premium Star Path this time. Also can’t upgrade the game to a Founders Pack to get Moonstones. Anyone else in the same boat?” asks a fan on the game’s subreddit.

“I’m in the same boat. I blew up all my Moonstones at the Pixar event, I thought I wouldn’t need them for a while… I was wrong,” laments another, with the final response: “I’m in the same situation after doing some spent to buy Pixar points in the last.”

One particularly scathing comment reads: “Allowing people to buy event currency without a way to buy moon rocks is the worst decision. I totally understand why anyone would buy event currency, but then it becomes a penalty until they start selling moon rocks . It’s terrible.”

Dreamlight Valley is still in Early Access, which is probably why you can’t buy the currency at the moment. The official website states, “Moonstones can also be used to purchase cosmetic items from the in-game shop menu, which will be made available in early access at a later date,” but does not specify a timeline for when the currency will become available.

While monetization remains one of the game world’s most divisive features, in the end it seems like removing the player’s desk is worse, especially when new seasons drop and you don’t reap the benefits. Whether we’ll see Moonstones for sale in the next update remains to be seen, but for now it’s worth channeling your inner Scrooge McDuck and holding onto your treasures.

However, if you feel like sharing, we’ve got a rundown of all the Disney Dreamlight Valley recipes and how to prepare them if you feel like having friends. However, if you feel like flying solo like Scar, here’s how to unlock the Disney Dreamlight Valley Scar quests – after all, it helps (take a deep breath) to be prepaired.
