Dakota Kai & IYO SKY Make History At WWE Crown Jewel

Dakota Kai and Io Sky of the Damaged CTRL Stable made history at today’s (November 5) WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live event.

Kai and Sky defeated Asuka and Alexa Bliss to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, after losing the belt to the pair a few days earlier on the October 31 edition of WWE Raw.

In regaining the belt, Kai and Sky became the first women to win a championship while wrestling on a premium live event originating from Saudi Arabia.

The match was an intense back and forth between the two teams, which ended with Nikki Cross interfering.

As Bliss went over the top rope to perform her twisted Bliss move, Cross came out of nowhere to attack her from behind, which proved to be an opening for Kai and Skye to ensure victory.

Unfortunately, Kai and Skye were the only members of Damaged CTRL to receive new title belts on the Today Show, as Bayley failed to win her match against WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in a final women’s standings match.

In a brutal match, Belair sandwiched Bayley between the sides of a ladder and swung him under the corner turnbuckle, leaving him unable to answer the count to ten.
