Cain Velasquez’s latest assassination attempt and new civil lawsuit


Following his arrest in late February, here’s the latest information about former UFC and WWE star Cain Velasquez.

TMZ Sports It was previously reported that Velasquez was struck with 10 total charges, including attempted first-degree murder, multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and the shooting of a occupied motor vehicle, among others, Harry Goularte. After firing the shot, Velasquez accused a relative of sexual assault.

Velasquez is currently in custody after being denied bail a second time in May.

To MMAFighting.comThe hearing date for Velasquez’s petition has been pushed back to August 19, with the motion hearing two weeks earlier on August 5.

tmz Now reports that a civil suit has been filed against Harry Goulart in Santa Clara County Court, identifying the plaintiff only as the guardian of ‘CV, Jr.’. The lawsuit alleges that Goulart “sexually abused, molested, touched and harassed CV” on multiple occasions.

To mma junkie, Goulart is currently out on bail, facing a serious charge of sexually assaulting a minor child. He pleaded not guilty at a hearing at Morgan Hill on June 6, and is due back in court on September 20.

Court documents reportedly show that civil trial proceedings are set to begin with a case management conference in September.
