[PRESS RELEASE – Seoul, Korea, 24th November 2022]
TripleS burst onto the global K-pop scene in a big way with their first Subunit debut album, Access. In just three weeks after its release, the Seoul-based girl group, which combines blockchain with pop music, has amassed more than 28 million views on YouTube on the album’s lead track, “Generation”.
TripleS is a K-pop girl group consisting of 24 individual members divided into subunits. Fans can choose the composition of the group’s sub-units through blockchain-based voting in a process called “Gravity.” The first sub-unit of the group is called Acid Angel from Asia and features the vocal talents of Kim Yu-yeon, Kim Na-kyong, Jeong Hye-rin and Gong Yoo-bin.
AAA released Access on October 28, and as of November 21, it has already reached over 5,500,000 YouTube views and Spotify streams. The group’s debut took them to number one on the iTunes K-pop Albums charts in the US, Mexico and Turkey, and number nine on the iTunes K-pop Songs charts in the US and Canada. On the iTunes Worldwide Albums Chart, it peaked at number 74.
Access contains six songs: ‘Access’, ‘Rolex’, ‘Charla’, ‘Dimension’, ‘+82’ and ‘Generation’. The title track “Generation” received over 1 million views within the first 24 hours of release and 10 million views within the first seven days of release.
TripleS’s social stats have also increased since the album dropped to AAA on October 28:
- YouTube subscribers – from 257K to 486K
- Twitter followers – from 19 thousand to 51 thousand
- Instagram followers – from 7K to 73K
- Tiktok followers – 100K to 705K
Access’ lead track “Generation” focuses on the increasingly blurred line between online and real identity, especially for a generation that has never known a world without the internet. The music video features trendy scenes of the AAA quartet running away from school and dancing through the busy streets of Seoul. At the end of the video, the next sub-unit of TripleS +(KR)ystal Eyes appears, teasing the group’s upcoming sophomore release.
The open-architecture entertainment ecosystem behind the TripleS is Modhaus. Modhaus developed the group’s blockchain elements and continues to work with leading names in the Web3 industry to promote blockchain mass adoption through the hugely popular medium of K-pop.
Modhaus has teamed up with The Sandbox to create a social hub for fan engagement at Metaverse hosted events. Through the partnership, Modhaus will create licensed Triple S NFTs, including avatars, wearables, and various digital collectibles. Elsewhere, Modhaus plans to promote TripleS in gamefi communities through partnerships with associations such as Guildfy, Ancient8, and League of Kingdom.
