BGL Real Estate Advisors Announces Sale Leaseback for Indoor Waterpark at Hall of Fame Village


CLEVELAND, 23 Nov. 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) is pleased to announce the financial closing of the sale-leaseback transaction for a 147,000-square-foot indoor football-themed water park at the Hall of Fame Village. The themed, experiential, zoning master plan for Hall of Fame Village consists of three phases:

  • Phase I is complete and includes the initial construction of the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium and the Hall of Fame Village Sports Complex.
  • Phase II is well underway and includes the newly constructed DoubleTree by Hilton Canton Downtown Hotel, a multi-purpose office complex in the Constellation Center for Excellence, a 100,000 square foot indoor facility in the Center for Performance, Fan Engagement Zone and Play. -Action Plaza, an outdoor entertainment space with a zipline and Ferris wheel ride, compliments dining and drinking options within three acres of green space. The completion of a Hilton Tapestry hotel, and what is now known as the “Forever Lawn Sports Complex,” ended the second phase of the offering.
  • A future Phase III is also in the early planning stages and may include additional attractions, restaurants, lodging, apartments, and other accommodations. The Hall of Fame Village complex is also home to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum, and while the museums are owned separately, the synergistic synergies coordinated complement this master plan for the destination.

The Hall of Fame Indoor Waterpark will feature a 147,000 square foot, technology-powered, family-friendly football-themed entertainment area. The water park will feature 85,000 square feet of water space, including a wave pool, lazy river, several waterslides, private cabanas, and smaller slides and pools for children. The facility also includes party rooms, a separate arcade, locker rooms, lifeguard stations, laundry facilities, and several food and beverage outlets.
