AEW Dynamite records 1 million viewers for Grand Slam special despite drop in viewership and demos



Viewers and demo ratings have been revealed for the Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite on TBS on Wednesday (September 21).

To Brandon Thurston of WrestlenomicsThe Dynamite Grand Slam attracted 1.039 million viewers. This is less than the September 14 edition which attracted 1.175 million viewers.

This was the fifth week in a row for AEW Dynamite to attract over one million viewers.

In the key 18-49 demographic, Wednesday’s event received a 0.35 rating. This is also lower than a week ago which had received a 0.39 rating.

The episode ranked #1 in the demo on cable for the night.

The show saw Jon Moxley defeat Brian Danielson to win his third AEW World Championship, Chris Jericho to win the ROH World Title, and The Acclaimed defeated Swarve in Our Glory to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

In addition, Saraya (Paige in WWE) made her debut and faced the top stars of the AEW Women’s Division.
